| Other Information: The cast-iron building replaces earlier front and rear buildings on the lot. In 1861 the lot was sold to R. H. Frost; in that year, tax assessments value the site at $9,000. In 1862, the value was $22,000. One of a group of buildings with two-story arcades marked either by columns (63 Nassau Street, 85 Leonard Street, 55 White Street) or, as here, by pilasters (120 Chambers Street/50 Warren Street, 171 Duane Street). Cornice supported by ornate brackets withfaces. | ||
